
Los Angeles native Beth Hart the blues-influenced rock singer and street performer who made her debut in 1995 on Immortal and gained attention for her raw, outspoken personality, gifted musicianship, emotion-filled live performances and a voice similar to that of Janis Joplin. Chuck Taylor wrote that Hart was "the the epitome of natural women" in the October 2nd issue of Billboard magazine. She's "bawdy and amusing, friendly, and free-wheeling with her preference to use a spicy the language. However, that's nothing compared to her stage presence. The tall, lanky , tall singer/songwriter walks and squalls out songs in a band with Mick Jagger . At other times, she'll take places on the piano or in the center stage with her legs crossed over the chairs and her voice so delicate and painful, it's hard to tell whether she's crying or if you'll. Hart had similar reactions to the moment she took to the stage for amateur contests as an teen. But, Hart had doubts about the industry of music when it finally became an international success. Hart left her band when she failed to tour across the globe. Hart then spent nearly four years soul-searching and resolving issues through music writing. Hart was determined to give her career an opportunity and returned in 1999 with Screamin' for My Supper. It was an album that showed Hart's songwriting skills, and featured candid, vulnerable tracks that dealt with the challenges of life.
