Coleman was born in Lancashire, and born in the town of Blackpool. She was a student at the Arnold School in Blackpool where she was head of the school and gained straight As in her A-levels. If Coleman was asked about her Emmerdale role she stated she regretted having not had an experience like the traditional one at university. Coleman was on Crystal Clear at the Edinburgh Festival in a troupe called In Yer Space, which she participated in while in school. An award was presented to her for her presentation, while the show was received well. Whilst auditioning for drama schools Coleman landed the part in the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated twice in 2007. The British Soap Awards she was nominated as Best Newcomer and during the National Television Awards she was named the Most Popular Newcomer. In 2009, she was awarded nominated in the two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman was awarded the TV Choice Awards nomination for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was going to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors have left the series. Moffat chose her due to the ease with which she worked together with Smith as well as the fact that she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been working in the world of entertainment since 1987. But she's been more well-known on television than in films. Eva is best known for her roles in the role of Dr. Maria Santos on All My Children and as the detective Natalia Boa Vistas from CSI Miami. The latter even garnered her two 'Daytime Emmy' nominations as well as gave her the chance to experiment with her talents in music. Eva as well as being an actress is also a philanthropist, businesswoman and entrepreneur. Eva has three husbands, and a child from the second.
