Dua lipa is a English singer and musician born on 22nd August 1995 at London United Kingdom. After working as a fashion model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album titled "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album reached the third spot in the U.K. Chart for Albums. The album released eight singles, among them Be the Only I.D.G.A.F. as well as New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked to number 6 on the charts in the United States. Lipa was awarded an award at the Brit Awards in 2018 as a British Female Solo Artist, and British Breakthrough Act. Her album was certified platinum in several countries worldwide. Dua lipa was born the 22nd of August, 1995, in London with Kosovo Albanian Anesa Rexha, and Dukagjin Lipa. By way of her maternal grandparents, Dua Lipa is Bosnian. Additionally, her ancestors are from Peja, which is a Kosovo town of Peja. The grandparents of Lipa's grandfathers were both history professors. The siblings of Lipa are Rina and Gjin. Lipa began to learn how to play guitar and sing from her dad Oda. Oda is the leader singer/guitarist for Kosovan's band Oda. The band was heavily influenced by their father's music which featured his music compositions and songs like David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing when she was just six years old. The Sylvia Young Theater School was the first place she began to sing when she turned nine. Lipa performed Beautiful Christina Aguilera's Beautiful And If Ain't Give It To You from Alicia Keys. Lipa has signed Warner Bros. Records a contract in 2014. New Love was her debut single. New Love was released in August of 2015.
